A Coaxial-to-CPW Transition for Microwave Breast Cancer Detection Antennas
نویسنده
چکیده
A transition from coaxial-tocoplanar waveguide (CPW) for microwave breast cancer detection antennas is presented and design rules based on analytical calculations and simulated one using CST Microwave Studio 2014 simulator are presented. The measured results show that an operating frequency range extends from 1GHz to 15GHz is obtained. This paper discuss mathematical method of coplanar waveguide (CPW) characteristic impedance calculation and also, developed a graphical charts for coplanar waveguide (CPW) design. Both measured and calculated results are compared and good agreement is obtained.

A Miniaturized CPW-Fed Tapered Slot Antenna in Lossy Environment for UWB Application in Breast Cancer Detection
In this paper, a miniaturized coplanar waveguide fed (CPW-fed) tapered slot antenna (TSA) is introduced for breast cancer detection. Here, a modified CPW to slot-line transition structure with an air-bridge is employed to broaden the transition bandwidth and increase the radiation efficiency. Through these applied modifications, negative features of the original TSA (limitation of transition) a...

Targeting the transition from a coaxial wave guide to a coplanar wave guide (CPW), a microwave and millimeter-wave wide-band coaxial-to-coplanar transition is proposed. This design connects the coaxial inner conductor to the CPW center conductor in a perpendicular manner to directly couple, on the same plane, the radial high-frequency electric field in the coax to the gap between the CPW’s cent...
متن کاملSlot Antenna Fed by a Cpw Line with Tapered Transition
A tapered coplanar waveguide (CPW) transition is proposed in order to facilitate the connection between a slot antenna and coaxial connector. The broadband bow-tie slot antenna is considered as an example in this design. The tapered transition is utilized to optimize the connection of two 50 CPW lines with different widths. A narrow CPW line is connected to the slot-antenna feed point and the w...
